Looking for Christmas home decor ideas to transform your space into a winter wonderland? Serve yourself up a healthy dose of inspiration by looking through my holiday home tour this year.
It's the season of gathering and entertaining. Sprinkle the magic of the holidays throughout your home to wow your guests and put everyone in the spirit.
Plus, I've included plenty of sources for your convenience! For products that I couldn't find the exact match, I have provided similar alternatives for you.
So deck the halls and let's take a look at some Christmas home decor!
A fireplace mantel is the perfect canvas for a decorative masterpiece. This year I stuck mostly with a green and gold theme.
Adding decorative items like pinecones, dried orange slices, ribbon, and ornaments really make the garland appear full and complete the look!
I should also mention that this is actually two garlands that I have stacked together. If you wonder why your garlands always look so scraggly, this might be why! Layering multiple garlands on top of each other is critical.
As for the decorative elements, the orange slices I bought in bulk and I used a glue gun to secure them to a craft stick. Then you end up with a lollipop shape and you can push the stick into the garland to help keep the orange slice in place.

There's nothing wrong with conservative holiday decor. Here, in the mudroom, we just have a single gold reindeer surrounded by some pops of green.
Using candles, books, and florals in your color scheme is great way to help keep things cohesive, subtle, and still feel festive.
Living on a farm, we have to have a big laundry sink in the mudroom. This beauty gets a lot of use!
I encourage you to find little corners of your home to add small touches of Christmas cheer. The top of this old medicine cabinet is the perfect place to add a hint of the holidays with little wooden houses and some fairy lights.

Changing out art prints is a great way to keep your home feeling fresh throughout the seasons. This print was a digital download from Etsy. Then I easily put it on a flash drive and took it to Staples where I had them print it out on sturdy paper.
If you're looking for beautiful and inexpensive art, I highly recommend you check out what's available on Etsy!
While we're still looking at the buffet table above, let's talk about styling in the dining room.
I try to decorate in a way that keeps the function of the space at the forefront. Here you can see that the buffet table has been set up to work as a bar cart with an assortment of spirits, an ice bucket, and there are some glasses tucked in there as well.
A new season is a great excuse to redecorate shelves with Christmas home decor. When styling shelves, a great way to ensure success is to keep your color palette pretty narrow.

Do the ornaments in the bowl on the bottom shelf look familiar? Those are some of my DIY mercury glass ornaments!
The glass Christmas tree on the top shelf was also made with the same technique. Check out my post for a full tutorial on how to DIY mercury glass Christmas home decor.
Looking for more ideas to fill bowls and vases this holiday? Here are some popular options.
Changing out the pillows and topping the coffee table with a decorative bowl or tray are small touches that really bring a room together. Next we'll take a peak at the shelf in the background.
Whenever you're styling shelves, always remember to layer! If you find yourself struggling, ask yourself if you can narrow down your color palette further. That always makes it easier!
While it is helpful to minimize the number of colors you're working with, it's important to use plenty of variety in textures and materials to create a high end look.
Even the bathroom can have a festive feel! Touches of green and some winter prints add a subtle touch of holiday cheer.
